Accommodation

Where can you find help with finding accommodation?

Student Halls of Residence:

Trainees can only be accommodated in a student residence if rooms are available. Please note that enrolment is mandatory for accommodation in a hall of residence.

If you are interested in getting accommodation in a student esidence, please contact us as early as possible before your arrival (at least 3 months before the start of your traineeship).

Private Housing Market:

Although there are a large number of halls of residence in Regensburg, it can be very difficult to find a room due to the tight housing market. It is therefore essential that you also apply for accommodation on the private housing market, e.g. for a flat or a room in a shared flat (WG). Ask your traineeship supervisor or department chair for support in finding accommodation.

Be sure to start looking for accommodation early (at least 2-3 months before your arrival).

Other Accommodation Options:

If you are only staying in Regensburg for a few weeks, short-term accommodation can be a good option. Regensburg has a large selection of hotels, youth hostels and holiday flats that you can book directly.

Here, too, it is advisable to start your search early.
