“R?ume der Solidarit?t - Spaces of Solidarity” exhibition at the M26 in Regensburg

Spaces of Solidarity
How do we want to live together? M26, bauw?rts, the City of Regensburg and the University of Regensburg are calling for solidarity and a focus on the common good as part of the 3rd Regensburg Building Culture Days.
“R?ume der Solidarit?t - Spaces of Solidarity” at Regensburg's M26 provides insights into solidarity-based Berlin projects in the areas of housing, work and health under the premises of globality, digitality and migration. The exhibition was originally on display at the The German Architecture Center (DAZ) in Berlin.?
Together with students, designers and graphic designers, Anna Steigemann developed large diagrams and posters in a series of seminars, the content of which was created in close collaboration between activists, initiatives and researchers and which formulate theses on solidary relationships.
Mobility and migration are shaping the 21st century, and the resulting challenges are huge. To overcome them, societies and cities need “new forms of solidarity that we want to test, negotiate and try out”.?
Anna Steigemann, Professor for the Sociological Dimensions of Space at DIMAS (Department for Interdisciplinary and Multiscalar Area Studies) at the University of Regensburg, outlined what such forms could look like in a keynote speech at the exhibition “R?ume der Solidarit?t - Spaces of Solidarity” curated by her and Moritz Ahlert at Regensburg's M26, which opened on April 2, 2025 as part of the 3rd Regensburger Baukulturtage by Wolfgang Dersch, Cultural Officer of the City of Regensburg, and Stephanie Reiterer from bauw?rts.
University President Professor Dr. Udo Hebel was also a guest at the vernissage. (from left to right): Wolfgang Dersch, Prof. Dr. Anna Steigemann, Stephanie Reiterer,?Barbara Wimmer-Bulin and Prof. Dr. Udo Hebel.
