Sports programmes for people with disabilities
Inclusive sports on offer at the Sports Center
- The Sports Center currently offers inclusive table tennis, archery and swimming. Further information can be found on the university sports centre website.
Interested parties are very welcome!
- The Buddy Programme enables self-determined participation in the general university sports programme by arranging sports partners to take part in the courses together.
Accessibility at the Sports Center
Disabled parking spaces:
- Main entrance (access via: Am Biopark 12)
- Sports halls 1-3 (access via: Universit?tsstra?e, turn left up the path before the motorway bridge, behind the technical centre, parallel to the motorway)
barrier-free access:
There are two entrances to the Sports Center, both of which can be accessed barrier-free.
- The main entrance provides access to rooms in the front building of the Sports Center (administration wing: gate, seminar room, H50, offices), but rooms in the rear building (indoor swimming pool, weight room, etc.) can also be reached using stair lifts.
- In addition to the main entrance, there is a rear entrance at the Sports Center. This is particularly useful when using games halls 1-3 (access only possible from the outside). The following map provides an overview of how wheelchair users can reach the rear entrance of the Sports Center's south building: follow the green markings by car and the orange/yellow/red markings by wheelchair. At present, wheelchair users without a car can only reach the rear entrance in this way. The BACK ENTRANCE is usually locked and must be unlocked by the porter/janitor. The relevant telephone numbers are displayed at the rear entrance, so please always take your mobile phone with you!
During university sports, the current gate opening times are as follows:
MONDAY TO THURSDAY | 16:00 - 21:00 |
FRIDAY | 16:00 - 19:00 |
