Brief description of the project
What is the goal? The goal of Fairtrade is to make a significant contribution to development and improve the lives of the people and families involved in production in the countries where the products are grown. This is achieved, for example, through better wages and salaries, appropriate working conditions, and environmentally friendly farming methods. When? Every two years, the UR's certification as a Fairtrade University is renewed. To do so, we must meet certain criteria:
- University resolution on application and compliance with criteria
- Steering group for coordinating activities
- Fairtrade products at events
- Fairtrade products in shops and restaurants
Media and public relations work to publicize activities in the area of fair engagement

- Student Services Association of Lower Bavaria/Upper Palatinate
- AK Unifair
- City of Regensburg

Then join the steering group!
We are representatives from UR and OTH Regensburg, the AK Unifair, Fairtrade City Regensburg, and the student union. We organize the two-year recertification as a Fairtrade University and contribute to the topic at various events. For this, we meet once every semester.
