What is my motivation for this position?

I believe that every drop wears away the stone, so every contribution is important. I'm also interested in what it's like when you want to change something on a larger scale: how willing is an institution to work more sustainably, how can processes be changed, what challenges are there, etc.?

For me, a sustainable university is..

...a university where sustainability is lived, not prescribed. It is an integral part of campus life and is seen as a driver of progress and an opportunity for change, not a restriction. Sustainability should be approached with enthusiasm and a group mentality, turning ideas into concrete change.

What is my motivation for this position?

Before I joined the Green Office, I was already involved in the student initiative Netzwerk Nachhaltigkeit, which campaigns for a more sustainable campus. In the GO, I can pursue the same goals from a position anchored in the administrative structure of the university and thus become active in even more and far-reaching areas.

I work at the Green Office …

... because I am convinced that the University of Regensburg also plays a central role in sustainable development. Working there enables me to help shape concrete projects for a sustainable and species-friendly campus, to network students and to promote sustainability as a living principle in research, teaching and everyday life. I want to be part of the change and show how much we can achieve together.

I want to implement more sustainability because..

...I learnt in my geography degree how crucial the interaction between people and nature is for our future. Sustainability and environmental protection concern us all and our generation in particular has the chance to bring about real change. As a prospective teacher, I want to pass on this responsibility and motivate my fellow human beings to become active themselves.

Sustainability is a topic close to my heart because ...

... I know from my studies in molecular medicine and my own experience that only a healthy earth makes healthy humans. Factors such as clean air, water, the smell of plants etc. not only have an influence on our bodies, but also on our mental well-being. I am convinced that the more we cooperate with nature instead of exploiting it, the healthier and happier we will be.

What is my motivation for this position?

After intensively dealing with various aspects of sustainability during my studies and voluntary work, I would now like to actively contribute to shaping a more sustainable university culture. The position in the Green Office offers me the opportunity to get (new) students interested in the topic of sustainability - through appealing content, creative activities and, above all, well-founded information. I want to help make sustainability visible, tangible and accessible to everyone.
