Prof Dr Nikolaus Korber has been vice-president for study, teaching and continuing education since 2013. His responsibilities include

  • Matters relating to studies and teaching
  • Quality management
  • Accreditation
  • Head of the Assembly of Deans of Studies
  • Management of the Study Grant Commission
  • Head of the "Study-related IT training" commission

About Prof Dr Nikolaus Korber

Nikolaus Korber (born 1964) studied chemistry at the university of Bonn. For his diploma thesis on sesquioxides of rubidium and caesium in the field of solid state chemistry, he joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Martin Jansen. He continued to work on his dissertation on ionic ozonides in the same group. After a one-year post-doc at the Max-Planck-Institut for solid state research in Stuttgart in the group of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Georg von Schnering in 1993, he returned to Bonn to work on his habilitation on polyanions of group 15 elements, which was completed in 1998. Since 1997, he is professor for inorganic chemistry at the university of Regensburg. Professor Kober has been vice-president for study, teaching and continuing education at the University of Regensburg since 2013.
