The Holiday get together is a relaxed holiday gathering that brings people together during the festive season. It’s an opportunity for PhD students and guest researchers to take a break from their routines and enjoy the holiday spirit with good company.

Held at the Haus der Begegnung, the event includes baking seasonal treats, such as gingerbread, and enjoying warm beverages, like Glühwein (mulled wine) and non-alcoholic punch. The focus is less on formal traditions and more on creating a cozy atmosphere for conversation, laughter, and relaxation before the winter break.

Whether you’re familiar with German holiday customs or experiencing them for the first time, the Holiday get together offers a welcoming space to connect with others and enjoy the flavors and spirit of the season.

Die Nikolausfeier ist ein entspanntes Beisammensein in der Adventszeit und bietet Promovierenden und Gastforschenden eine sch?ne Gelegenheit, in lockerer Atmosph?re zusammenzukommen und sich auf die bevorstehenden Feiertage einzustimmen.

Im Haus der Begegnung werden gemeinsam weihnachtliche Leckereien wie Lebkuchen gebacken. Dazu gibt es Glühwein und alkoholfreien Punsch. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei nicht Traditionen oder Programmpunkte, sondern das gemütliche Miteinander bei Geb?ck, warmen Getr?nken und guten Gespr?chen.
