ORGANIZATIONAL THEORIES - LECTURE AND TUTORIAL

Content of lecture and tutorial

The lecture offers an overview of classical topics of organizational theory (membership, structure, decisions, power, environmental relations, social constructions, etc.). These topics are examined from the perspectives of various organizational theories. We work out the advantages and blind spots of different viewpoints. 

In the tutorial you will learn to apply theories in the context of empirical research. To this end, you will carry out your own research project in teamwork. We discuss, among other things, the choice of suitable theories; concrete steps and problems of theory application and the writing up of research results.
