Pavel Romanov studied Russian history in Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg. Since 2024, he has been a member of the DFG project 'Corruption and Religion - Orthodox Christianity in Russia and Serbia'. In his doctoral resarch, he focuses on the perception of corruption during the reign of Catherine II in Russia in connection with the secularization of public discourse. In his study, he focuses on the transfer of ideas, law and application, and the history of the concept.
