Prof. Dr Enzo Weber is head of the research area "Forecasts and Macroeconomic Analyses" at the IAB, holds the Chair of Empirical Economics at the University of Regensburg and is an IZA Research Fellow. Previous positions include assistant professor at the Free University of Berlin, member of the Collaborative Research Centre 649 "Economic Risk" at the Humboldt University of Berlin, visiting researcher at the Japan Center for Economic Research, postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim, junior professor at the University of Regensburg.

Prof. Weber is a labor market researcher, macroeconomist, forecaster and econometrician. His topics include macroeconomic labour market development and business cycles, technological change and economic transformation, labour market reforms and policies, economic crises, demographic change and social security. Prof Weber publishes in academic journals such as Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, European Economic Review, Review of Economic Dynamics and Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He advises national and international governments, parliaments, institutions, political parties and organisations and is a sought-after contact for the media.
