Research and teaching at the Chair of Empirical Economics focuses on applied macroeconomics, (external link, opens in a new window) macroeconomic labor market research, (external link, opens in a new window) econometric methodology and quantitative financial market analysis.

There is a close connection to the Nuremberg Institute for Labour Market and Occupational Research (IAB) (external link, opens in a new window).
