Mr Iturralde Martinez is a PhD student and has been a member of Dr Canzar's lab since 2023.
He received his bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from the Ecuadorian Armed Forces Polytechnic School (ESPE) and a master's degree in Plant Pathology from Penn State University.
During his graduate studies, Francisco performed computational analyses of various systems - from bacteria and viruses to plants, animals and human data - and became familiar with different pipelines to characterise these systems.
Francisco aims to develop integrative approaches to combine different 'omics technologies with the goal of automating and simplifying complex analyses and building better computational models for high-throughput applications.
