Chair of Real Estate Finance visits INVESTMENTexpo
On 21 and 22 May, the INVESTMENTexpo (external link, opens in a new window) took place in Berlin at the Waldorf Astoria and the Zoo Palast, where Prof. Dr. Steffen Sebastian played a key role in preparing and moderating the event in his capacity as Chairman of the Advisory Board. The doctoral students Joachim Kraus and Sven Rehers were also on site and particularly emphasised the intensive discussions and diverse networking opportunities.
Chair at the 9th Real Asset Finance & Debt Summit in Berlin
On 3 April 2025, the Chair of Real Estate Finance was represented at the 9th Real Asset Finance & Debt Summit at the AXICA Congress and Conference Centre in Berlin. Prof. Dr. Steffen Sebastian took over the moderation of the event and led through a varied programme with exciting panel discussions and top-class guests. A particular highlight was the keynote speech by former Federal Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier. In addition to professional dialogue, the event also offered numerous opportunities for networking. It was a valuable and inspiring participation for the Chair's team.
IRE|BS doctoral students at the PRRES Conference in Australia
The annual "PRRES Conference" (Pacific Rim Real Estate Society) took place from 14-17 January 2024 in Broadbeach, Australia. Albert Grafe and Julius Range, PhD students at the Chair of Real Estate Finance of IREBS Professor Steffen Sebastian, presented their current working paper "The Fiscal Effects of Residential Land Development in Germany". In addition to valuable feedback, the event also provided an opportunity for international exchange on real estate management research topics and methods.
