Tobias Schacherbauer completed his bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on value chain management at the University of Regensburg from 2018 to 2021. During this time, he gained practical experience as a sales assistant in the business customer area at a medium-sized company in Regensburg.

After completing his bachelor's degree, Tobias Schacherbauer continued his academic career and completed a master's degree in business administration at the University of Regensburg from 2021 to 2024, specialising in management and leadership as well as management information systems. He wrote his Master's thesis at the Chair of Controlling and Logistics, in which he analysed the warehouse structures of the mail order business in Germany.

During his Master's degree, Tobias Schacherbauer spent two semesters abroad at Murray State University in the USA, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) as part of a double degree.

In 2022, Tobias Schacherbauer completed an Internship with subsequent further employment in the Logistics Management Spare Parts department at Krones AG. Among other things, he was responsible for creating and analysing key figures for Krones' branches worldwide.

Since June 2024, Tobias Schacherbauer has been working as an assistant professor at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Controlling and Logistics, under Prof Dr Andreas Otto.
