With the Chair of Clinical Neuropsychology & Neuropsychological Psychotherapy, a Psychotherapeutic University Outpatient Clinic for Clinical Neuropsychology is being set up.
The legal reform in the area of the new psychotherapy degree courses is leading to the expansion of university outpatient clinics for psychotherapy. With the new branch of Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Psychotherapy at the University of Regensburg, we want to expand the range of services and improve care for those affected by the cognitive and affective consequences of brain damage.
We will offer diagnostics, counseling and psychotherapy for various neuropsychological complaints and psychological stress after brain damage.
As a teaching and research outpatient clinic, we will also conduct studies on neuropsychological dysfunctions and neuropsychological psychotherapy and train psychologists and psychotherapists.
Research at the University Outpatient Clinic will focus on topics such as reduced resilience and fatigue (e.g. in post Covid, multiple sclerosis), as well as the creation of materials on diagnostics and integrative neuropsychological therapy methods for those affected by brain damage (e.g. after stroke, traumatic brain injury, viral diseases, etc.).
We would like to point out that costs are already charged for the first consultation, regardless of whether neuropsychological psychotherapy is subsequently started with us.
Cost bearers can be Statutory health insurance, private health insurance, subsidies, self-payers, other cost bearers

Consultation hour
The first step towards educational or research psychotherapy in our university outpatient clinic is to make an appointment for a consultation. You can contact the secretary's office by e-mail to make an appointment.
Scope: There are one or more consultation appointments lasting between 25 and 50 minutes. At least 50 minutes of consultation over 1-2 appointments are required to start psychotherapy.
Aim: During the consultation, it is clarified whether a neuropsychological disorder is present and whether neuropsychological psychotherapy is indicated and which further support measures are suitable. If outpatient neuropsychological psychotherapy is indicated, free places are available and there is interest in it, outpatient teaching or research psychotherapy can then be started with us.
We are currently in the development phase!
We are gradually expanding our range of services for general neuropsychological-psychotherapeutic treatment for those affected by the cognitive and affective consequences of brain damage. See also Steps into neuropsychological psychotherapy (download flyer).
As a university outpatient clinic, we also consider specific topics:
