Project Title: "To Do or Not to Do II: Principles and Neuroanatomical Correlates of Affordance-Based Decision-Making"
Funding Body: German Research Foundation (DFG)
We are seeking two PhD candidates (paid 65%, TV-L E13) to join our DFG-funded research project on affordance-based decision-making at the intersection of perception and Action in late fall/winter 2025.
This experimental project investigates the cognitive and neuroanatomical foundations of decision-making processes related to affordances. The research integrates behavioral paradigms, virtual reality, and neuropsychological data (e.g., lesion-symptom mapping) to explore how affordance judgments are shaped, how they can be tested and how they can be trained..
