Teaching
I offer bachelor courses on housing economics and urban design, and master courses on urban economic theory, regional economics, and retail real estate management. I also offer seminars on varying topics of interest to the real estate student, such as elementary structural engineering, basic game theory. Most classes are in German; but Regional Economics II is in English.
Most of my courses share a focus on real estate's neighborhood. The relevant neighborhood depends on the type of real estate you are interested in. The value of residential real estate benefits from the amenities of the urban vicinity. The value of retail real estate depends on the mall or high street of shopping premises that it abuts on. Office value hinges on the wage paid in the regional agglomeration the office is part of.
