Information for psychology students at the University of Regensburg

One of the aims of the University Outpatient Psychotherapy Centre for Children and Adolescents is to give advanced psychology students at the University of Regensburg practical insights into the fascinating psychotherapeutic work with children and adolescents.?

Courses

Every semester we offer courses on topics in clinical psychology and psychotherapy of childhood and adolescence, which can be found in the corresponding course catalogue.

Internships

Bachelor's students of psychology at the University of Regensburg have the opportunity to complete a compulsory internship at the University Outpatient Psychotherapy Centre for Children and Adolescents. We offer a study-accompanying internship of 150 or 240 hours. In order to apply, you need to be enrolled in psychology at the University of Regensburg. A special interest and/or previous experience in clinical psychology and psychotherapy or clinical psychology and psychotherapy of childhood and adolescence are required. Theses

The scientific focus of the University Outpatient Psychotherapy Centre for Children and Adolescents is research into new (behavioural therapy) treatment approaches for eating disorders and the testing of digital therapy feedback and monitoring systems during psychotherapeutic treatment of children and adolescents. Possible theses in these areas are repeatedly assigned. If you are interested, please contact the office of Prof. Dr. David Kolar.

Outpatient work as part of training as a child and youth psychotherapist or as part of further training to beome a specialist psychotherapist

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to complete an activity as part of the training. We are in the process of clarifying the financing of a possible further training as a specialist psychotherapist in the field of psychotherapy for children and adolescents (specialist knowledge in behavioral therapy).?

We will inform you here as soon as we offer this further training.
