Chair of Process-based Information Systems

Welcome to the website of the Chair of Process-based Information Systems at the Faculty of Informatics and Data Science at the University of Regensburg. 

The research of the chair focuses on advancing Business Process Management (BPM) through the integration of innovative technologies such as IoT, Edge Computing, and AI. The focus is on context-aware and adaptive process models, data-driven analytical methods (Process Mining), as well as ethical and organizational issues. Additionally, we deal with security and governance aspects in the industrial IoT, where we develop practical concepts for secure, traceable, and compliant process design. Our work combines theoretical research with technological progress and application-oriented solutions for a sustainable, digital process management.
