What is the RUBY LAB?
The Regensburg University Behavior and TechnologY Lab regularly conducts scientific behavioural experiments according to experimental economics standards.
The aim of the experiments is to better understand human behaviour in various decision-making situations and in interaction with new digital technologies. The experiments are as diverse as the scientific disciplines involved. All experiments are conducted anonymously. Our participants receive a basic remuneration and are also paid depending on their decisions.
Participation in experiments
Take part in experiments yourself and earn money in the process! At the same time, you will be making an important contribution to scientific research and helping to improve our understanding of human behaviour and new digital technologies.
Your participation in the experiments and any information you provide will be treated in strict confidence in accordance with data protection regulations!
Further information can be found on the registration page (external link, opens in a new window) for the RUBY participant database.
How can I participate in RUBY experiments?
In order to participate in RUBY experiments, you must first register (external link, opens in a new window) in the RUBY participant database. This step does not commit you to anything.
Once you have registered in the participant database, you will receive invitations to experiments by email, for which you can then register if you are interested.
Each invitation contains the dates, times and duration of the respective experiment. You can then register for one of the dates offered for each experiment if you would like to take part.
As the experiments usually take place on site in the RUBY experimental laboratory, your presence is required for participation. The experiments usually last about 60 minutes. Some experiments also take place online. After completing the experiment, all participants will receive a payment, which is performance-based and depends on their decision-making behaviour.
