DFG proposal "< Freedom / / Equality > Perspectives on fundamental rights in Europeanized constitutional law" approved

The DFG will fund a research project by Alexander Tischbirek on the competing perspectives of fundamental rights in German and European law over a total period of three years. The project will deal with the relationship between freedom and equality rights in German constitutional law, European Union law and the ECHR. In addition to traditional legal hermeneutics, quantitative methods of computational linguistics and the Digital Humanities will be utilized. The project thus also promises to deepen the already lively dialog between the Faculty of Law and the new Faculty of Informatics and Data Science at the University of Regensburg.
