Research

We are a passionate research team developing innovative image analysis and computer vision solutions for biomedical data to improve diagnosis, prognosis and healthcare. We develop novel AI-based algorithms for analyzing highly complex scientific image data repositories, e.g. as produced by new imaging and data acquisition technologies in the natural and life sciences.

In our current research, we address major challenges in biomedical image analysis:

  • Self-supervised and few-shot learning
  • Continual learning
  • Generative models
  • Foundation models
  • Integration of multi-modal data
  • Optimization of energy consumption

Through our research in these areas, we hope to contribute to the advancement of AI technologies, especially for biomedical applications. Our mission is to develop novel AI technologies that are not only more powerful and adaptable, but also sustainable and able to contribute to improved diagnostic quality and better patient outcomes around the world.

We are grateful for the generous support of our funding sources who make it possible for us to push the boundaries of humanity’s knowledge in AI-based Image Analysis and Computer Vision.
