Thomas Baumer presented the research paper "Digital Nudges for Access Reviews: Guiding Deciders to Revoke Excessive Access" at the Twentieth Symposium on Usable Privacy and Security (SOUPS 2024, https://www.usenix.org/conference/soups2024 (external link, opens in a new window)) in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The research team includes his coauthors, Tobias Reittinger, Sascha Kern, and Günther Pernul. Together, they investigate the effects of digital nudges on access reviews by conducting expert interviews and a user study on choice defaults. While the paper covers many details, you can watch a recording of the talk on YouTube, summarizing the key results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DaQZUzrk3U (external link, opens in a new window).

These results are only possible due to our students help at the University of Regensburg, who participated in the user study. We are very grateful for your help!
