Finding our offices

To get to our offices, when having reached campus, navigate to the building of the biology building at southern edge of the campus directly adjacent to the Botanical Garden as indicated on the map from the bus stop or various parking options. As a first time visitor, it’s easy to get lost once you enter the connected university buildings, so our strong advice is to walk at the edge of campus, outside the buildings (see dashed lines on the map) until you reach the outer courtyard of the biology building.
Once you enter the building, the Theoretical Ecology is located on the second (top) floor, wing WNE4.
Reaching Regensburg by
Public transport:
- Plane - nearest Airports: München International (best choice, ca. 1h), Nürnberg (1.5h), Memmingen (1.5h), Frankfurt International (3.5h). From there, either use public transport, or airport shuttles
- Train and bus connections for Germany and most of Europe can be found via https://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml - as destination use either the main train station (Regensburg hbf), or directly one of the bus stops of the university (Albert-Magnus Str. Regensburg). Walking distance to Uni to Main station: ca. 25 min
Individual transport
- Bike - park in front of the biology building
- Car - there are several university car parks in walking distance (see campus map) - best is to park next to the botanical garden, or at the Universit?tsstra?e close to the biology building (there is a footpath next to the botanical garden cutting through to the the biology faculty). University parking is free, but not all parking spaces are open to the public. Be advised that the university administration has a special person employed just for towing cars, so if you park on a restricted parking, it is nearly certain that you will be towed away.
