Learn German

Sufficient knowledge of the German language is an important part of integration. Therefore, it is beneficial to learn the German language in order to better understand German culture and to cope with everyday life.


German courses for international researchers

In cooperation with the International Office of the University, the Department of German as a Foreign Language (DaF) offers German courses for international PhDs, Postdocs as well as visiting scholars and their partners.


Course overview

German courses are offered for international PhD students, postdocs and visiting scholars and their partners covering online courses (Zoom + GRIPS) for level A1.1. and A1.2

At levels?A2 to C2, international PhD students, postdocs and visiting scholars and their partnes can attend the?non-degreee German language courses?("study-accompanying German language courses") if there is free capacity.


Courses

German A1.1 - online course

Course period: October 15, 2024 - February 5, 2025

Teaching hours: Tuesday and Wednesday 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Registration: October 1, 2024 - October 10, 2024, via?SPUR

Interested parties without a student account at the University of Regensburg must first complete a?self-registration?in SPUR.

German A1.2 - online course

Course period: October 15, 2024 - February 5, 2025

Teaching hours: Tuesday and Wednesday 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
