CV
Dr. Stetler received her Ph.D. in American history from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2012. She has taught history at the University of Wyoming, worked as a Park Ranger at Acadia National Park, edited the papers of Buffalo Bill Cody, and curated several museum exhibits. She is interested in American political and intellectual history, especially when seen through the lens of regionalism and identity, and in the study of transatlantic connections between the United States and Germany (among many other research interests).?
Dr. Stetler also holds a Staatsexamen in?English.?She has been at the Uni Regensburg since the fall of 2018 and teaches in both Sprachpraxis and American Studies.??

Teaching
In Sprachpraxis, Dr. Stetler teaches the General Language Courses, several academic writing courses, and Pronunciation (Am.Engl.).??
In American Studies, Dr. Stetler teaches the seminars that accompany the introductory lecture to American Cultural History, the Political Institutions Proseminar that focuses on American political history and civics, and an Advanced Seminar in American?Studies. Topics for the advanced seminar change every semester and have included in the past: Current Issues in the US, Perspectives on the American West, and America's National Parks, with new topics to be added for future classes.?
In the WS 2024/25, Dr. Stetler will be teaching GLCA, GLCC, Pronunciation, Academic Writing BA, the Proseminar on Political Institutions, five seminars of the American Cultural History course, and the advanced seminar titled "Wyoming, the West, and the World." Together with Arlyn Bradley, she is also going to offer an English conversation group to give students the opportunity to chat in a casual and informal environment about topics that seem relevant and interesting.? ?
